William And Kate Set To Have A Special Night Out
Prince William ad Kate Middleton already have a set schedule for November, and among those engagements is one very special night. On the 18th of November, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be attending the Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theatre in London.
This special night is an event that happens every year and is in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, which has the Queen as a patron, with all the money raised from the show will go to hundreds of entertainers throughout the UK, who need assistance and help as a result of old age, ill-health or hard times.
This year’s show will be hosted by comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan, while among those who will perform at the show are Sir Rod Stewart, the cast of Mary Poppins, Lewis Capaldi, Mabel, Robbie Williams and the cast of Come From Away. The show will also include an act with Emeli Sande, who will be joined by Manchester’s Bee Vocal choir.
This will be the third time the couple will be going to the event, with the two previous ones being in 2017 and 2014. Kate stunned crowds both times, with dresses by Jenny Packham and Diane von Furstenberg. They had a blast both times, with the Duchess being pregnant with her second child Princess Charlotte the first time, while in 2017 she was pregnant with Prince Louis. Maybe she is pregnant again and there are trying to tell us secretly.
The beginnings of this annual event go way back to 1912, when King George V and Queen Mary agreed to attend a ‘Royal Command Performance’ at the Palace Theatre in London, in aid of the Variety Artistes’ Benevolent Fund (now the Royal Variety Charity).
Last year we got to see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex take the spotlight for the event, and unsurprisingly, Meghan was pregnant with her first child at the time. That didn’t stop her from looking absolutely stunning in a sequin top and floor-length black skirt by Safiyaa, with her statement Birks Snowflake diamond earrings.
