The Sweet Wimbledon Moment Between Kate And Her Parents
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have returned to one of their favourite summer events this Tuesday – Wimbledon!
Aside from William and Kate, the Duchess’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton also attended the event, and while Kate wasn’t sitting next to them in the Royal Box she did make sure to blow them a kiss and wave just after she took her seat.
It isn’t unusual for the Middletons to be spotted at Wimbledon, as the entire Middleton family attends the sporting event almost every year, Carole and Michael were spotted earlier this week, while the Duchess’ brother James and his wife Alizee attended the sporting event on Monday.
Pippa, Kate’s sister who is currently pregnant with her third child with husband James Matthews, is no exception to this family tradition. She even joined Kate and Meghan Markle to watch the women’s final back in 2019.
Kate, who was spotted in a recycled blue polka dot dress by Alessandra Rich and pearl earrings for this outing, has been a regular at Wimbledon for a long time, attending the tennis tournament alongside her family before marrying Prince William in 2011.
The Duchess remains close to her family, even skipping Christmas with the royals along with Prince William to attend a holiday church service with her parents and siblings, and with recent relocation plans she’ll be closer geographically too.
The Duke and Duchess are planning to move from their home at Kensington Palace in London to a new residence 30 miles west in Berkshire.
While the primary reason for the move is their children’s schooling, Kate and William will also be closer to Her Majesty’s primary residence at Windsor Castle and Kate’s parents in Bucklebury.
