The Sweet Connection Between Pippa’s Baby Girl And Princess Charlotte
Congratulations are in order as Pippa has welcomed her second child with her husband, James Matthews. It has been confirmed that at 4.22 am on March 15, Pippa Middleton gave birth to a baby girl. Both Kate’s sister and the newborn, weighing 6lbs 7oz, are doing well.
“Mother and baby are doing well,” the source told HELLO!. “She’s perfect, everyone is overjoyed at such a happy arrival.”
The couple has decided to name their daughter Grace Elizabeth Jane. That means she shares a middle name with her cousin Princess Charlotte, whose full name is Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Baby Grace also shares the same middle name with her auntie Duchess Kate, who was bornt Catherine Elizabeth Middleton.
The new arrival is the fifth grandchild for Pippa’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton, and another cousin for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, to play with.
Pippa’s second pregnancy was reported last year. And proud grandma Carole Middleton confirmed it in a cover story for Good Housekeeping UK earlier this month. “I hope to see more of my family than I could last year, including, of course, my new grandchild”.
Pippa and James are also parent to little Arthur, who was born on October 15, 2018
Pippa Middleton revealed how she stayed active while being pregnant with her first baby in her Waitrose Weekend fitness column.
“Now that Arthur is 11 months old and more mobile, I have been trying to come up with different activities to do with him,” she wrote in an article released in September 2019.
“I needed to find something more than just park walks in the pram. Our local baby gym has been a saving grace. It’s a big space full of fun, soft objects, playmats, stairs, balls, swings, mini trampolines and more to stimulate and physically engage babies and toddlers,” she added.
“Arthur burns lots of energy in this safe environment and learns many physical skills,” she said. “I have also noticed him building his confidence with each visit.”
