The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Let Their Emotions Fly At Polo Celebration
On Wednesday the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a fundraising polo tournament that managed to gather around 1 million pounds for the couple’s charities. During the event fans were treated to a not-often-seen sight, a public kiss between the couple after William’s polo team took home the victory.
Although there is no written rule about this, the royals are rarely seen having public displays of affection, but it seems that the younger generations are looser when it comes to this.
The two royals were photographed kissing on both cheeks as the Duchess presented the prizes after the Royal Charity Polo Cup, which was held in Berkshire, just a few miles from Windsor Castle, at the Castle Ground at Guards Polo Club.
Prince William could be heard saying-“Wow” as Kate presented him with an imitation Samurai warrior’s helmet – from the Japanese sponsors of the tournament. She also handed out the helmet trophies and other awards to the players before posing with all of those who took part in a group photograph.
The pair were also caught in another sweet moment, as they were seen walking with their arms wrapped around each other. It was also revealed that the couple had brought their new black cocker spaniel Orla to the event, with the royal dog running around the grounds enjoying the summer sunshine.
For the event, Kate looked marvellous in a simple midi shift dress with black pipe detailing from Emilia Wickstead, while her hair was kept loose. She finished off her look with short wedge heels and hoop earrings and pushed her hair back off her face with tortoiseshell sunglasses.
The event had been a great success, with the organizers reporting that they had raised over one million pounds, which will go to good causes such as London’s Air Ambulance Charity, the homeless organization the Passage and the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
It has been quite the sporty week for the pair, as they had also been seen at Wimbledon this week. The two were photographed at Cameron Norrie’s match when he faced off against Belgium’s David Goffin, and from all the photos and videos we can see that the two got a bit too much into it.
Throughout the five-set quarter-finals match the two royals were constantly cheering on the Brit from the stands at No. 1 Court, with the whole dramatic ordeal of the ending leaving the future King stressed and anxious.
“Oh no, no, not…F…” he could be seen mouthing, before the cameras panned away, not letting him finish his sentence.
After the nerve-racking match at Wimbledon, the royal couple took to social media to celebrate the exciting win, sharing a picture of the 26-year-old pumping his fist on the court, with the caption: “What a match! Just brilliant @cam_norrie.”
They later added: “What a day of tennis! Fantastic to be back @Wimbledon today and wonderful to see @Cam_Norrie flying the flag in the singles!”
