Prince William Makes Grimaces As He Receives A Gift For Son George
The Duke of Cambridge attended a reception at the Baltic arts centre in Tyneside. It was a part of the Great Exhibition of the North celebrations.
At the reception the Prince was given a special gift for his son George. And he was caught playfully grimacing and shaking his head while receiving the Newcastle United football shirt, for George.
William said: “What’s that?” as he was handed a black box emblazoned with the logo of Newcastle United Football Club.
As he took the t-shirt out, the Prince exclaimed: āOh my goodness.
āI donāt know about this.ā
Sir Gary Verity, chairman of the Great Exhibition of the North, gave William the gift.
“It’s very kind,ā William told Sir Gary.
āThis is going to make my football team discussions a lot harder.”
It was an interesting situation, considering that Prince William is an avid Villa supporter.
While William was on a tour in the Middle East this summer, he was given numerous Villa-theme gifts on his first day in Jordan.
Prince William visited Tyneside as part of the Great Exhibition of the North celebrations.
His tour took him to Sage Gateshead, which is one of the Great Exhibitionās three āhubā venues. It uses music to engage young people with life challenges.
Then he had a tour of the technology centre in Gateshead, which tests and creates digital solutions of businesses.
Gary said about William’s visit: “I really feel that a royal visit is the icing on the cake of a hugely successful exhibition, and a testament to the success of the exhibition.
What an incredible day at @getnorth2018 seeing the amazing innovation & meeting the inspiring businesses, artists and designers (& stars of the future!) from across the north.
