Prince William And Kate Wish Meghan A Happy 40th Birthday
The Duke and Duchess posted their birthday wishes for Meghan Markle on Wednesday by taking to social media.
To mark Meghan 40th birthday Prince William and Kate shared a stunning photo of her on Bondi Beach in Sydney during the Sussexes’ tour of Australia in 2018.
Captioning the photo: “Wishing a happy 40th birthday to The Duchess of Sussex! [birthday cake emoji].”
The Cambridges were last seen together with the Sussexesin public in March 2020at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, shortly before Harry and Meghan stepped away from royal duties and moved to the US.
Prince Harry, however, was reunited with his brother and sister-in-law at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in April, where they were spotted walking together after the moving service and with his brother in July to unveil a statue of their late mother, Princess Diana, at Kensington Palace.
Since moving to the US the Sussex’s family has expanded, welcoming Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor into the world in June.
While carrying out a joint engagement with US First Lady, Dr Jill Biden, at a school in Cornwall during the G7 Summit in June, Kate was asked about her new niece.
“I wish her all the very best. I can’t wait to meet her,” said Kate. “We haven’t met yet. I hope that will be soon.”
Lilibet is eighth in line to the throne behind her two-year-old big brother, Archie, and the line of succession on the royal family’s website was just updated last week.
It’s not unusual that the line of succession on the royal family’s website takes its time to be updated after a birth. Similarly, it was almost two months before Princess Eugenie’s son, August, was added to the website after he was born in February.
