Meghan Revealed Her Nickname For Son Archie In New Birthday Video
It feels like yesterday when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle introduced their firstborn child, Archie, to the world, but in reality, the baby has just turned one this Wednesday. For the occasion, the proud parents shared a new photo and video of their son.
In the video we see Meghan reading to her son at home, with her boy in her lap wearing a babygro. Meghan looks stunningly beautiful also, with a messy bun and no makeup, the casual at-home look. It seems that dad Harry is behind the camera as he is not seen in the video, but was thankfully on hand to capture this sweet family moment.
In the video, Meghan revealed the sweet nickname she calls her baby. As she is encouraging him to turn the pages of the book, Duck! Rabbit!, we can hear her call her little boy “Arch”.
This is the first time we are seeing baby Archie in a while, with the last time being the photo the couple shared on New Year’s Eve 2019. In the photo we see the baby boy snuggled in his dad’s arms, wearing a bobble hat, in front of a lake in Canada. The couple has officially stepped down from royal duties since March 31st and is now making their own way in the US. At the moment they are in isolation, but we are sure they are keeping themselves entertained.
Although they are thousands of miles from the rest of the royal family, their closest relatives didn’t forget about baby Archie on his big day. Prince William and Kate Middleton celebrated Archie’s birthday on Wednesday morning, sharing a photo of his christening day on their official Instagram account, with the caption: “Wishing Archie a very happy first birthday today!”
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh also shared an image of their great-grandchild Archie on the royal family’s social media accounts. The photo was taken at Windsor Castle two days after the little boy’s birth at the Portland Hospital in London.
The caption read: “Happy Birthday to Archie Mountbatten-Windsor who is celebrating his 1st birthday today! Archie is The Queen’s eighth great-grandchild.” Proud grandfather Prince Charles, meanwhile, posted a previously seen black and white image of himself with Harry and his grandson taken on the day of Archie’s christening, saying: “A very Happy Birthday to Archie, who turns one today.”
