Meghan Markle Debuts The New Ring At Trooping The Color After Archie’s Birth
On Sunday we got to see tons of royals attend the Trooping the Color festivities, with Archie Harrison, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s firstborn being noticeably absent, although his parents were there alongside the other top royal on the balcony. But his mother Meghan has a way to always keep him by her side, no matter where she goes.
This outing marked the first for Meghan after going on maternity leave so understandably all eyes were on her. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that there was a new item in the Duchess’ jewellery collection, as she was wearing a never-before-seen ring, alongside her wedding band and engagement ring.
While on their trip to Buckingham Palace, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were joined by Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. They all waved at the gathered crowds, with Meghan’s new ring shining bright in the process, which fans speculated to be an eternity ring.
Eternity rings usually are made up of small diamonds covering the entire circular band and are traditionally given after a particularly important occasion, such as the birth of a child or a first wedding anniversary. And coincidentally Meghan and Harry celebrated both things within the past two months.
The meaningful piece of jewellery has become a sort of a tradition in the royal family, with Prince William giving wife Kate an eternity ring following the birth of their first child, son Prince George.
The Duchess of Sussex welcomed her son just five weeks ago, on May 6, and since then Meghan has stayed out of the public eye, with the exception of their first outing as a trio, just two days after Archie’s birth.
Harry isn’t so lucky, as he had to leave his firstborn son and Meghan behind at Frogmore Cottage as he had multiple engagements planned. He finished all those appearances solo, which included a short trip to the Netherlands and Rome.
For Saturday’s outing, Meghan wore a navy ensemble by her wedding dress designer Clare Waight Keller and a matching hat by Noel Stewart.
In a sweet nod to the happy couple, Kate wore a pale yellow ensemble, and a matching hat by Philip Treacy with floral detail, which she had previously worn to Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding last May.
