Kate Revealed Daughter Charlotte Favorite Hairstyle
On Friday, the Duchess of Cambridge visited the newly opened The Nook hospice, an extension of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, for severely ill children. It was a particularly special day for Kate, who helped to launch the £10m appeal for the new hospice in November 2014.
During her engagement, the Duchess met with families to hear about the care they receive there. Among them was a young girl Betsy Fletcher whose brother Toby, 10, has dystonic cerebral palsy amongst other medical needs.
Rebecca English of the Daily Mail, who was at the event, said Kate complimented the girl on her hairstyle and revealed it’s her daughter’s favorite hairstyle.
She said: “I love your plaits. My little girl Charlotte loves plaits but her hair’s only this long so we have to do them at the top.”
We have seen Princess Charlotte sporting her favourite hairstyle on multiple occasions. Back in June at Trooping the Colour she had two braids that met in the back and tied with a cute blue ribbon.
Charlotte had the same hairstyle in the photos that William and Kate of their family visit to Kate’s garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Charlotte definitely gets her love of fashion and beauty from her mom; who looked stunning in a magenta Oscar de la Renta suit skirt. She paired it with a black Beulah London x Aspinal clutch bag and a pair of black suede Gianvito Rossi heels.
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices is one of the first organizations the Duchess lent her patronage to. And it’s the location where Kate made her first speech back in March 2012.
In a more confident delivery, the she said today: “At the opening of the Treehouse Hospice many years ago (which I think I will remember for some years to come as it was my first ever speech!), I referred to your hospices as being homes.
“This visit today has only reinforced for me just what is at the heart of what you do here, throughout your work, and that is family.”
