Duchess Of Cambridge Reveals She Can’t Wait To Meet Niece Lilibet
The Duchess of Cambridge has revealed that she “can’t wait” to meet her new niece Lilibet. Lilibet is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s second child, born on June 4th, 2021 in the US.
On Thursday Kate met with US First Lady Jill Biden in Cornwall, with the two visiting a primary school there, where they took part in a round table discussion with experts on the importance of the early years of childhood.
Kate was asked by one of the broadcast journalists if she had wishes for Lilibet, with the Duchess simply saying: “I wish her all the very best. I can’t wait to meet her.
“We haven’t met yet. I hope that will be soon.”
Soon after the White House aides and Kensington Palace officials swiftly moved to end the impromptu press conference, clearing the classroom from journalists.
This joint visit to the Connor Downs Academy in Hayle, Cornwall comes on the first day of the G7 Summit at Carbis Bay in Cornwall. This school, which has pupils ranging from 4 to 11, is a member of the Aspire Academy Trust group of 28 primary schools across Cornwall.
There the Duchess and Dr. Biden, who is an English professor and former high school teacher, visited the school’s Reception Class where they learned about how the pupils are supported through a bespoke Early Years Foundation Stage whose goal is to help the children develop into independent, confident and successful learners.
Kate and the First Lady also joined children taking part in a number of classroom activities.
At the end, the Duchess and Dr. Biden had a discussion with a number of representatives from early years sector who have had a part in helping Kate’s efforts to create a national conversation that gives every child in Britain a better start.
For the engagement, both of them wore shades of pink, with Dr. Biden going for a white dress and a bright pink jacket, while the Duchess went for another shade of pink Alexander McQueen outfit. Needless to say, both of them looked pretty in pink.
