How Meghan Paid Tribute To Prince Charles And Princess Diana On Royal Tour?
Meghan switch into a final third outfit before ending her day of engagements in Fiji and Tonga.
She and Harry met King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipauʻu and attended an official dinner and a reception hosted for them.
For the occasion she opted for a white gown by Theia. And she accessorized her with a special detail.
Meghan was photographed wearing the stunning aquamarine ring which once belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, who died 21 years ago.
Prince Harry gave her the ring for their May wedding and Meghan wore it for the first time at the evening reception.
The emerald cut stone was a gift to Princess Diana from friend Lucia Flecha de Lima, the wife of the former ambassador of Brazil to U.K. after her divorce from Prince Charles in 1996 was finalized.
Lucia, “bought it to replace the engagement ring Diana no longer wanted to wear once her marriage ended.”
Set in 24-carat yellow gold, the emerald cut ring features a large pale blue stone surrounded by smaller diamonds.
Thoughtful Meghan didn’t forget about father-in-law Charles too. She paid him a tribute by wearing an elegant Cartier bracelet he brought her as a wedding gift.
Meghan has been seen wearing the tennis bracelet on multiple occasions since her wedding day, including at Charles’ birthday party.
The first time she was spotted wearing it was when she and her mom arrived at the Cliveden House Hotel the day before the wedding.
It is understood that Prince Charles and Meghan are close. He even walked her down the aisle when her own father pulled out of attending her wedding at short notice.
Not only Harry, but William too gave his wife Kate, a special ring from Diana’s jewelry collection.
While Harry gave Meghan the aquamarine ring, William proposed to Kate with Diana’s sapphire engagement ring.
