Kate Announced First Official Engagement After Giving Birth To Louis
After being out of the public eye for a few months, the Duchess of Cambridge is returning from her maternity leave.
Kate has been on a maternity leave since she gave birth to her third child, Louis, on April 23. Now, Kensington Palace announced her much-anticipated return to the royal engagements.
Kate is back on Tuesday. She will visit the Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground on October 2.

The Palace announced on their Twitter page: “The Duchess of Cambridge will visit the @SCTrust Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground on Tuesday 2nd October.”
Last spring, Kensington Palace announced that Kate would be taking several months off and she won’t return to official engagements until the autumn.
It was revealed that her priority at that time was to look after her three children: George, Charlotte and Louis.
“It is traditional for new royal mums to take a six-month break from official engagements,” royal biographer Duncan Larcombe told HarpersBazaar.com earlier this year.
“[Prince Harry’s] wedding doesn’t count because it was a ‘family affair’ but other than that, she will pick and choose her engagements. If she wanted, Kate could disappear into the background until October!”
After October 2, Kate is having another important day. World Mental Health day is on October 10.
So we expect her to carry out an engagement with William and Harry who helped set up charity Heads Together.
After that we’ll have a chance to see Kate and the rest of the Royal Family together for the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. The wedding will take place on October 12.
While we still don’t have information about the rest of her schedule Kate is set to have a busy autumn.
There’s no doubt we’ll also be seeing her on Remembrance Sunday, November 11th.
The Queen is also preparing to welcome King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands to Buckingham Palace for a state visit from 23 to 24 October. So, maybe Kate, William, Harry and Meghan could make an appearance at the state banquet.
