Prince William Reveals Why Kate Wasn’t Very Happy About His Isle of Man Visit
Today, Prince William flew to the Isle of Man for one of the world’s top races. William, who still rides a high-powered Ducati, went to watch the famous festival on the small island between Britain and Ireland. While the future king was excited to attend the event, wife Kate, didn’t share the same excitement.
“When I said I was going to the Isle of Man for an official visit she said, ‘Really?'” William revealed his conversation with Kate during a chat with Laurence Skelly. He is the Isle of Man government’s minister for enterprise.

The International Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) Race is an annual motorcycle sport event run on the Isle of Man in May or June of most years since its inaugural race in 1907, and is often known as being one of the most dangerous racing events in the world.
Two competitors have been killed during this year’s event.
Kate has previously admitted to feeling “terrified” when her husband goes out on his motorcycle. During a visit to Dundee, Scotland in 2015, she told a well-wisher: “He’s still riding it. It always fills me with horror when he goes out on it!”
The mother of three, added then: “I’m terrified. Hopefully, I’m going to keep George off it.”
However, last November, Prince William revealed that he no longer rides motorbikes because of Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Every parent eventually has to compromise and make sacrifices for their children, and Prince William is no exception.
William revealed this to triple World Superbike champion Jonathan Rea, as he was being made an MBE at Buckingham Palace.
“I know he’s a bit of a motorcycle fan himself,” the racer said after the investiture ceremony. “We talked about his bikes and the fact that he has put it on the back-burner a little bit because of his children now.”
William’s passion for motorbikes, which Prince Harry also shares, started when he was very young, and he passed his motorbike test when he was 19.
Also, in 2008, the two brothers took part in a motorcycle rally across Africa to raise money for charity.
William previously said: “I don’t know what it is about bikes, but I’ve always had a passion for motorbikes ever since I was very small.
“I used to do a lot of go-karting when I was younger and then after that I went on to quadbikes and eventually motorbikes.
“It does help being anonymous with my motorcycle helmet on because it does enable me to relax. But I just enjoy everything about motorbikes and the camaraderie that comes with it.”
