Prince Harry Returns To His And Meghan Markle’s Favorite Place
After he had three engagements with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry is getting done some work alone. The prince is visiting again the favorite place where he has said: “I feel more like myself than anywhere in the world.”
The royal groom-to-be is in Africa now, traveling around for a “private working trip.”He is there seeing “organizations working in conservation, particularly those affecting wildlife, across the region.”
And early next week, he is heading to Botswana, his and his fiancée’s favorite place. We don’t know many details about his trip. Still, it is believed that he will spend time with two associations in Africa that he supports. He is a patron of Rhino Conservation Botswana and president of African Parks.
Prince Harry first visited Chobe Game Lodge, Kasane, where he met TshekediKhama. Khama is the minister for environment and natural resources, conservation and tourism.
Harry has already visited the continent couple of times, since his teens, for charity work. However, his and Meghan’s history there started only a year ago. After his third or fourth date with Meghan in London, he persuaded Meghan to go on a trip with him in Botswana.
“We camped out with each other, under the stars,” he recalled in their interview.
“She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic,” he added. “Then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure that we had a chance to get to know each other.”
And apparently, the central diamond in Meghan’s engagement ring is from Botswana. The other two smaller diamonds are from Harry’s mom, Princess Diana, private collection. “It’s incredibly special, to be able to have this [ring] which links where you come from with Botswana, which is special to us,” Meghan shared her opinion of the ring.
About the couple’s next engagement, they are scheduled to appear at the Endeavor Fund Awards in London on February 1.
