Prince William Beams With His Children In New Photo Released For Father’s Day

Prince William and Kate have released a touching new photo to celebrate Father’s Day. The image, taken on the Windsor Estate earlier this year by Millie Pilkington, shows Prince William with his children Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five. It continues a touching tradition of sharing new photographs of William with his children to mark the day.

The snap shows a smiling Prince of Wales sitting in a quiet corner of the estate, surrounded by his three children. His left arm is around Prince George, who is dressed to match his father in a blue shirt and jeans; his right is around Princess Charlotte, who gazes lovingly up at her father.

In typically cheeky fashion, Prince Louis puts on a playful display with his arms wrapped around Prince William’s neck.

A closer look at the photo reveals a touching detail: Prince William and his children are pictured on a bench dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II on her 90th birthday.

The whole inscription can’t be read due to the family’s positioning but the date is visible behind Prince George’s legs: 21 April 2016, the day Her Majesty celebrated her milestone birthday.

It comes just hours after Prince William and Kate were joined by their children at Trooping the Colour. George, Charlotte and Louis accompanied their mother and Queen Camilla in a carriage from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade, then back down the Mall to the palace.

Later, the Wales children made an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace alongside King Charles III, Queen Camilla, their parents and other senior royals to watch the RAF fly-past.

Royal watchers noted the close bond William and Kate demonstrated with all three of their children, despite the high profile occasion. Touching interactions between William and Charlotte proved particularly popular with royal fans online, with several commentators noting the eight-year-old princess appears to be a ‘daddy’s girl’.
