Prince William And Kate Pays Rare Tribute To the Queen
On Tuesday, as a way of marking International Women’s Day, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a rare tribute to the matriarch of the royal family-Queen Elizabeth II.
The couple shared a series of photographs of the monarch throughout the ages on their social media accounts and heralded her for “inspiring a nation” and dedicating her life to service.
The Queen, who only recently recovered after testing positive for the virus a fortnight ago, celebrated 70 years on the throne last month-her Platinum Jubilee.

Accompanying the photographs, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also wrote a short heartwarming tribute to the royal, saying: “In this very special #PlatinumJubilee year, we celebrate Her Majesty The Queen and her historic 70 years of service on #IWD2022.
“Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Head of State, The Queen’s extraordinary reign has been longer than any other monarch in British history – inspiring a nation and dedicating her life to the service of the Commonwealth and its people.”
One of the portraits shared showed Prince William and Kate alongside the Queen at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019, while another captured Her Majesty during her Silver Jubilee walkabout in 1977. A third photo had Prince Charles kissing the Queen’s hand at a polo match in 1988.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall also shared some photographs in honor of the monarch on their official Twitter accounts, such as one with the Prince and his mother and another that captured Camilla laughing with the Queen.
The caption with the post read: “In this very special #PlatinumJubilee year, we celebrate Her Majesty The Queen and her 70 historic years of service.
“The Queen’s extraordinary reign has been longer than any other monarch in British history and dedicated to the service of the Commonwealth and its people. #IWD.”
