Princess Charlotte Cradles Butterfly In New Photo Taken By Mom Kate
On Saturday, Kensington Palace released three new photographs to celebrate the Butterfly Count Initiative. They were taken by the Duchess of Cambridge in Norfolk recently where the family participated in the Big Butterfly Count. The new post also includes an unseen photograph of Princess Charlotte gently cradling a beautiful Red Admiral butterfly.
Captioning the images, Prince William and Kate wrote: “We wanted to share these beautiful Peacock and Red Admiral butterflies as part of Big #ButterflyCount initiative taking place across the UK.
“@savebutterflies are encouraging us all to count these incredible creatures because not only are they beautiful creatures to be around but they are also extremely important. Butterflies are vital parts of the ecosystem as both pollinators and components of the food chain.
“Hopefully you can beat last year’s total, @savebutterflies.”
Fans were quick to react and share their delight over the new photo of Princess Charlotte holding a butterfly. One wrote: “So lovely [love] the world in tiny hands.” A second wrote: “This is wonderful and brings positive vibes”. A third added: “We have a perfect Princess Charlotte, thank you K&W for this amazing English rose you gave to us.”
Charity Butterfly Conservation posted: “Taking part in the count is like checking to see how nature is doing in your part of the UK, so by looking out for butterflies and moths you’re helping us in our conservation efforts!”
