Prince Charles Makes Sweet Pledge To His Four Grandchildren
On Wednesday, Prince Charles gave an emotional speech at virtual event hosted by HRH’s Sustainable Markets Initiative and The World Economic Forum. Charles, who himself has recovered after suffering mild symptoms of COVID-19, talked about the importance of using the outcome of the pandemic to reset the global economy.
Speaking about the balance between nature and humanity, Prince Charles shared a pledge to his grandchildren. “Everything I have tried to do, and urge, over the past 50 years has been done with our children and grandchildren in mind. So, I can only encourage us all to think big and act now.”
He continued: “I can only hope that as this current crisis passes we are able to reflect on, and shape, the type of world we want for ourselves and for future generations.”
Prince Charles is proud grandpa of four grandchildren: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and Archie Harrison. And many times Grandpa Wales has shown how much he adores his four grandchildren.
Royal fans also noticed Prince Charles keeps many photos of his family around his office; including the photo he released for little Louis 2nd birthday.
He also keeps one artwork of Prince Louis- his rainbow handprint which pays tribute to the NHS.
Prince Charles speech was part of the launch for The Great Reset. It is a project which aims to rebuild the economic and social system to be more sustainable. The Great Reset will also be the theme of a twin summit which will be convened by the World Economic Forum in January 2021.
On the launch, he said: “In order to secure our future and to prosper, we need to evolve our economic model and put people and planet at the heart of global value creation. If there is one critical lesson to learn from this crisis, it is that we need to put nature at the heart of how we operate.
“We simply can’t waste more time.”
