Why George And Charlotte Can’t Have Best Friends At School

Both of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte attend Thomas’s Battersea in London, with Prince Louis set to join them when he grows up.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte both have eventful futures ahead of them as members of the Royal Family, not to mention that Prince George is set to become King one day.

Despite them being third and fourth in line to the throne, according to their parents, the two of them are just like everyone else at their school as soon as the bell rings. The two are pupils at Thomas’s Battersea, with Prince George being in Year 2, while Princess Charlotte started her Reception last September.

After the initial excitement had passed, Kate, William, George and Charlotte became an everyday sight just like everyone else at the school, with nobody giving them a second glance. And just like the others Prince George and Princess Charlotte must follow the school rules, one of which is that they are not allowed to have best friends.

While speaking about the school on Loose Women, journalist Jane Moore explained why Charlotte won’t be allowed to have a ‘best friend’ at the school.

She said: “It’s a really great little school actually for the reasons I think that it really focuses on kindness, it’s a really big thing in that school and the pastoral care is amazing.

“There’s a policy that if your child is having a party unless every child in the class is invited you don’t give out the invites in class, which I think is quite a good thing as you don’t feel excluded.

“There are signs everywhere saying be kind, that’s the ethos of the school. They don’t encourage you to have best friends.” Oh how far western civilization has fallen.

Thomas’s is one of the best schools in London, offering a wide and varied curriculum, focusing on seven key areas of learning, them being: Personal, social and emotional development, Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Maths, Understanding the world and art and design.

The school’s website states: “We believe that the Early Years Foundation Stage is fundamental in instilling positive dispositions towards learning.

“In the Reception year children will play and explore; make choices and learn to have a go and persevere; be creative and solve problems; form good relationships; be safe, secure and happy.

“A stimulating environment, including a multisensory outdoor play area, supports the teachers’ planned activities and the children’s own initiatives for learning.”

Besides the traditional subjects, George and Charlotte will learn ballet, French and ICT. Students also learn about more unconventional things such as healthy eating during their first year at school.
