The Reason Why Kate Invited Her Friends To Church At Sandringham
This weekend, Prince William and Kate hosted their closest friends at their country home at Anmer Hall in Norfolk to mark the Duchessā 38th birthday, which is on Thursday. And on Sunday morning, the partygoers stepped out for church at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk.
The guest list for the weekend included Kateās parents Carole and Michael Middleton. The couple has spent the past week relaxing in the Caribbean resort with Pippa and James and their partners James Matthews and Alizee Thevenet.Ā Ā
Thomas van Straubenzee, one ofĀ Princess Charlotte’s godparents, and his fiancĆ©e Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe (who teaches at Thomas’s Battersea the school Prince George and Princess Charlotte attend); Lady Laura Meade,Ā one ofĀ Prince Louis’ godparents with her husband James Meade were there too.
Also in attendance were Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley and her husband, David, the Marquess of Cholmondeley.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning in a multi-colored purple peacoat by Roksanda. She paired it with knee-high brown heeled boots and blue fedora with feather detailing by the British brand Hicks & Brown.
Her outfit resembled that of the Queen, who wore a purple plum skirt and jacket ensemble with a matching hat.
Prince William looked stylish in a blue coat and trousers of the same colour.
Though Prince George and Prince Charlotte did not attend Sunday’s service, the siblings did recently attend the Christmas Day service at the same church for the first time.
Apparently, a weekend away in Norfolk with friends has become a tradition for Duchess Kateās birthday. Last year. She and husband William were photographed doing the same church-with-pals routine.
At the time it was also reported that Kate has two birthday parties; a birthday tea at her Kensington Palace home with the family as well as her weekend party.
