The Meaning Behind Harry And Meghan Matching Bracelets In Nyanga
Harry and Meghan first stop, on day one of their Royal tour, was the Nyanga township, where they viewed a workshop that teaches children about their rights and provides self-defence class.
The royal couple, who left Archie with a nanny, received a vibrant welcome from locals upon their arrival to the Nyanga township.
Meghan is in a black print wrap dress by Mayamiko, which she paired with chic wedge; while Harry is in a white button-up top and black pants.
While fashion lovers praised the Duchess and her stunning outfit, eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed that the couple were wearing matching bracelets for their visit.
Both Harry and Meghan were spotted wearing a red and white string bracelet reading “Justice.”
Apparently, it is a nod to the charity, Justice Desk, they are visiting.
Justice Desk is supported by the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust and has Harry as its president and Meghan as vice-president.
The couple met Jessica Dewhurst, Justice Desk founder, and Theodora Luthuli, Justice Desk community leader who were hosting today’s Royal visit.
The organization provides young people with information about their rights, self-awareness, and safety, and provides self-defense classes and female empowerment training to young girls in the community.
As Harry and Meghan left to their second engagement of the day, they were greeted by a group of dancers.
At first, the couple along as they watched the dancers perform before Meghan held hands with one of the women to move in time to the lively music. And it didn’t took too long for Harry to join her too!
“Their dance moves are great. They’ve got their African moves,” Nosisana Nama, 57, says.
“They were really enjoyed coming here and sharing this day with us.”
After that, the couple visited the District Six Museum, to learn about the history of the area and will meet former residents.
They will finish off the first day with a visit to District 6 Homecoming Centre, which provides a meeting place for former residents of the area.
