The Sweet Moment Kate And William Shared At The BAFTAs! And We All Missed It!
On Sunday evening the Duke and Duchess attended this year’s star-studded BAFTA awards, and during the ceremony, the two had a very sweet exchange of words. Prince William was photographed while in conversation, with the Prince leaning in to listen to his wife as she grinned back at him. Ever since becoming the president of BAFTA back in 2010, Prince William, along with his wife, has become a regular at the award show.
The couple arrived at the ceremony and made their glamorous entrance before 7 pm when they were welcomed by the BAFTA Chief Executive Amanda Berry. The Royals couldn’t contain their giggles as they headed down to their seats, taking note of the respectful silence from the audience. Kate then remarked to William as they sat down: “It’s so quiet!”
Kate didn’t miss the opportunity to stun the audience with her outfit, as she looked as gorgeous as ever in a one-shouldered white gown by one of her favourite designers, Alexander McQueen. The dress featured a floral motif on the shoulder and ruffled detailing.
This isn’t the first time the Duchess has worn this outfit, as she also chose it for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday dinner last November, only in pink. She finished off her look with a pair of Princess Diana’s stunning pearl drop earrings. After the ceremony, of which William had the honour of giving the last award, they went backstage to meet with the winners.
There Kate met with Olivia Colman, who took the award for Best Actress. The two were pictured chatting and laughing. Olivia Colman is most well-known for her role in The Favorite’s, and her future projects include playing Her Majesty the Queen in the next series of The Crown.
During the night, it seemed that the Duke and Duchess were enjoying themselves very much. The royal couple has had a busy start to the year, as both of their schedules are filled with royal engagements. Before the BAFTAs, Kate’s last public appearance last week was during a visit to two London-based schools during the Children’s Mental Health Week.
During her visit to Lavender Primary School in north London, Kate talked about her husband and her three children. The 37-year-old brought along a printed photograph of her family – her husband Prince William and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis. The photo was the same portrait the Cambridge released at Christmas, showing the family dressed down in jeans in their country home, Anmer Hall.
“I’ve got something. It’s not very big. Do you want to see it?” Kate asked the children. “This is a photograph of my family. These are my children and this is my husband. And my family makes me feel happy. And we like playing outside together and spending lots of time together as a family. And that makes me feel very happy. Do you like spending time with your families? What do you like doing sometimes?”
